If you're in the mood for some great Italian food and some giant portions take a ride over to Stallone's Italian Kitchen on Glades Road west of the turnpike in Boca. Situated in a small shopping center with Rooms To Go, Stallone's is much more than your local pizza joint. Our drink order was taken and delicious fresh rolls were delivered to our table as we made up our minds on what to order. Steve ordered chicken parmigiana and I chose spaghetti with meatballs. Michelle and Illona ordered the Italian Feast for two. We all started with a bowl of pasta fagioli and munched on the rolls while our dinners were being prepared. Once the entrees came we were floored by the quantity of food. Steven had two large chicken breasts over a large mound of spaghetti. My spaghetti, which I ordered fra diavolo, was topped with three meatballs and the girls' Italian feast was just that: Chicken parmigiana, lasagna, spaghetti, meatballs, and sausage with peppers and onions. The food was delicious and we took home enough for another dinner. The service was exemplary and the price was right. When you come to Stallone's remember the portions are large and order accordingly. .

So, this was a fairly charming place on Glades, fairly busy with the older (but not oldest) crowd, clean, friendly staff, etc. Prices on the menu are a bit stunning for FL...they are NYC prices. The pasta fagioli was a nice soup, but from there everything we had was a bit mediocre, at best...not supportive of the priciness. Pizza...okay, nowhere near the quality of Bella Nonna's. The eggplant parmigiana sandwich was actually kinda nasty...battered eggplant, not breaded, and cooked in oil that had definitely hosted either calamari or clams; it was a huge sandwich on good bread (a plus) but who want eggplant that tastes fishy?! Deserts were disappointing, too...the tiramisu was mostly mousse with very little cake to it, and the pistachio ice-cream/gelato was chalky. Also, I have to add I was happy I didn't order the salmon special, at a whopping $27, which (though the waiter could not have possibly repeated how HUGE the portions were more friggin' times) was quite normal to small when I saw it on a neighbor's plate. All in all, I will not be bringing my 100% Italian mother-in-law (from Puglia) or father-in-law (from Rome) here when they visit. My German/Alsacian mother? Maybe.

Little place that looks like a take out pizza place, that is SO much more. Their dishes, served family style put places like bucca de bepo and Magianos to shame! Nice warm service, delish Italian wedding soup and their chicken scarpariello is to die for. Come hungry.

This place has gotten progressively worse. Tonight I ordered 2 soups and 2 salads. It took over 90 minutes to get to me. I could have walked there and made it myself in that time frame. That's it for this place. Many other choices for pizza in Boca.

Lunch was was very filling with good tasty portions and reasonably priced, now if they could match this for the dinners this joint would be hopping and we would need reservations to get in as Boca needs a good Italian Restaurant that is "reasonably priced" i do hope management takes my advice and then they will see me there more often other than for lunch!

Bad service is not acceptable and it ruined the lunch at Stallone's. Came here on a Thursday afternoon for lunch, and the place had a moderate amount of people in it. Stallone's looks old, but has an old-fashioned feel to it, which makes me think it is more authentic in a way. More booths than tables, which to me is a plus. Did the lunch combo of salad and half a sandwich to $6.95, which wasn't a bad deal at all. It just came with a side salad and honey mustard dressing, which I wasn't impressed with. The salad tasted like something that had been sitting out for a while, and didn't taste fresh at all. My Tuscan Chicken sandwich on the other hand was quite good, as the chicken was flavored well and had a nice spice too it. It didn't blow me away, but the Tuscan Chicken sandwich was something I'd for sure get again. We also got garlic knots, but our waiter wasn't going to bring them out until we actually asked for them (more on that in a bit). The garlic bread/knots weren't anything special. Our server was an older man who had an attitude that wasn't very friendly. He barley came around the whole time to check up on us, even though the place isn't big at all. The real kicker that made the service terrible was when we got the check, the Chicken Parmigiana was listed at $12.95 when on the menu it was only $10.95. We brought this to our waiters attention who looked at us like we were crazy. He then proceeded to walk around to the manager and they both looked at the menu together and saw it was $10.95, but they said that because we asked for butter on the pasta instead of the red sauce, it was a $2.00 up charge. Really? Not only are they nickel and dime-ing you here for things, but that reasoning is totally ridiculous. Didn't bother fighting it, just wanted to pay and leave. Bottom line of Stallone's is the food is okay, but not worth the hassle from having to deal with their staff, their service is atrocious. Food (B-), Pricing (D+), Atmosphere (B-), Service (F)

Absolutely horrible customer service, I do not recommend this restaurant at all! I ordered dinner for my family through their website and an hour later after it didn't arrive I find out that they had technical problems... Which I can somewhat, but the way the manager and hosted acted towards me as if it was my fault or I was lying about placing the order on their website blew me away.... I recommend spending your time and money with a company that understands what customer service is about.

If you are italian... forget about it.... they are cooking for their clientele. ... there were beige meatballs in my soup??? I had to ask our server...what they were!!! Looked like matzo balls... I also asked for a side of sauce so I could pour in the soup for flavor... On a good note....pizza was ok...

Have always had a good experience dining here. Good service, good food and a nice atmosphere. The 'Stallone's Special' pizza (a white pizza with garlic, spinach and fresh roma tomatoes) is one of the best pizzas around.

One of the best places to eat in Boca Raton. The italian wedding soup is delicious. Everything is homemade. The staff is very friendly and the place is very clean. The muscles are the best I have had in Florida.

fresh, hot, family italian. our waiter jose was awesome, attentive and friendly. my sister introduced me while i was visiting for a few days, she goes here weekly. she always gets the veggie alfredo on angel hair with a past fagiole soup included. she absolutely LOVES it. i tried the tilapia in a light wine/cream sauce... also EXCELLENT. my only disappointment was the house salad. very fresh veggies, but please, when will the world move away from iceberg lettuce.

I honestly think the people that posted all the reviews here were paid by the owner. This establishment was terrible. I arrived with friends during the day, ordered some gnocchi as i was in the mood for some good gnocchi. Stallon's must not make there own sauce, cause I'm sure some sauces from the can are even better than what they used with my gnocchi. When i go to a Italian rest. I expect ATLEAST HOMEMADE sauce. give me something to come back for. Anyway as my entree wasn't even worth saving, the guy serving us was on his phone more than even on his feet. We had to wait way too long for simple things like napkins, and our check. When we were the only people there, you would think they could be around to give us the check instead of making us wait 30 minutes after we ate... I will never return to this place, it's a disgrace to real italian food.

I know these people since I was a little girl in Queens, NYC, and was so delighted when they opened up in Boca. The Stallones brought their legendary reputation and tradition of fine food with them. This is authentic, delicious, home-cooked Italian. There is no better here in Boca. The pricing, specials or not, is excellent, for the quality and quantity of food. My personal faves are the Wedding Soup, Penne a la Vodka, Tilapia, and the Veal Marsala. Also... they have the most delicious Cannoli in all Florida - always fresh and filled just before serving. Alex is my family's favorite server, very attentive, friendly and fun. Do not miss this gem of a restaurant in West Boca. As an Italian who rarely orders red sauce dishes out because I'm usually disappointed, I can tell you their red sauces are molto bene!!!

I'm not really sure how I feel about this place but I can relate a recent experience. I placed an online order after about half an hour the restaurant called me to say that they just noticed the order come in and wanted to know if I still wanted it, the woman who called me was extremely nice about it. I get that this was an honest mistake so it really didn't bother me. After a bout another hour the food arrived. I paid for it (no discount or anything was offered, which is cool it just would have been nice) I paid the driver and about after about a minute I heard a loud banging on my door, I checked my home security feed and it was the delivery driver, I think he mentioned on the tape something about man love. I open the door to find the driver upset that I accidentally had not paid the full amount. I have never stiffed anyone in my entire life and definitely raised an eyebrow when they were so ready to overlook an honest mistake on their part but when I do it there is talk of man love. I paid the driver the balance (once again honest mistake) and he left. The food was so - so really nothing to write home about. I really have no problem with how stallones acted it really was the presentation of these events which is why I am unlikely to do business with this establishment.

Located in a Shopping Center, it looks like it will be the Dominos Pizza of Italian food. But I heard it was good so gave it a try. I was very impressed. The cooking has a home made Italian kitchen feel to it a bit like my Grandma Winnie's. Family style portions. They did everything well. Only problem is everyone has discovered it.

Greg, Soup & half sandwich lunch, Italian wedding soup, chicken parm I came here for lunch with a friend of mine, and I couldn't say we were impressed. We had Greg as a server, and I think most of the time it felt like he was trying to rush us out the door rather than actually worry about our experience. He didn't say hi, didn't introduce himself, didn't welcome us at all. He popped in like a ninja right over my friend's shoulder, so close to him that my friend actually got startled and leaned away as Greg asked, "What are you guys having?". As we were ordering the lunch special, I asked (because I try to get the waiter's input at every first-time visit to every restaurant I've ever been to), "Which sandwich would you recommend?", to which he seemed very annoyed. He said they're all great, and as I started to say "I'm between the chick--" he interrupts with "Just pick one", or "Come on", or something (I honestly can't remember exactly what he said, I just remember he was clearly trying to rush me and apparently had something better to do at the time than take my order). Anyway, on a decent note, the Italian Wedding Soup was very good. I've never had it before, so I don't really have another restaurant's Wedding Soup to compare to, but I definitely enjoyed it. The chicken parm sub (that's the sandwich I ended up getting) was okay, but honestly I was pretty annoyed at this point so that may have weighed on my opinion. For the lunch special, you can get a soup, salad and half-sub for $8.95, or you can pick two of them for $6.50. Or, for $6.95, you can head over to any Sal's Italian Ristorante and get a soup or salad, half-sub, AND a slice of pizza. Seems like a better deal to me. I honestly don't see myself coming back here. I'm not sure they really wanted me here in the first place, so no real loss there.

Average at best. Prices were okay for lunch but don't be fooled, the prices for dinner are MUCH higher. Soup and Sandwich lunch special were good enough for me, but I would be hesitant to come back any time soon.

Why people continue to go here is beyond me. Their sauce taste like ketchup. Possibly the worst Italian restaurant in Boca. I'm convinced people go here because they just don't know any better.

The dinner menu is more expensive than the lunch, but the portions are bigger than lunch as well.

Food was tasteless. WITHOUT informing me, they charged me an additional $2 to get my spaghetti with butter instead of their red sauce. If they would have told me about the up-charge while i had ordered, i would not have been upset. On top of the tasteless food, they rip customers off with ridiculous charges. DO NOT EAT HERE.

Rarely dine in, but regularly carry out. I am Italian and don't order "Red Sauce" in most Italian restaurants so I cannot comment on it. Although it is the closest Pizza to our house, it is not our "Go To " pizza place. Have had great experiences with the Specials. Enjoy the soups, all of the chicken dishes, Shrimp Scampi, and the Rigatoni alla Vodka is wonderful, and those dangerous Garlic Rolls!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
